How to apply
The RSPCA Halifax and Huddersfield District Branch has a dedicated team of volunteers who play a vital role in assisting the Branch with its vital animal welfare work.
Volunteers carry out a variety of roles including dog walking, cat socialisation, home visiting, fostering, fundraising, charity shop work and trusteeship.
Different roles require different skills, experience and/or qualifications. Whilst some opportunities are available to everyone others require specific skills and responsibility and are therefore more limited.
Volunteer activities involving practical animal care at the centre are popular particularly with students. Due to Health and Safety regulations we are restricted in the number of volunteers we can accept. However vacancies do arise from time to time - please see the opportunities section of the website for more information.
